Jakarta Provincial Government warmly welcomes the World Bowling Association's decision choice of our city as the venue for the World Ranking Masters Bowling Championship 2008, scheduled from April 30 to May 6 at the Senayan Sportainment Bowling Alley. I would also like to welcome participating bowlers from twenty one nations, and hope that not only will they perform to their very best during the championship, but that they will also have the opportunity to enjoy the fascinating tourist attractions and other various facilities in Jakarta.
This international championship, an invitation event for the eight ranked players on each continent (Asia, America and Europe), is extremely important in terms of improving Indonesia's bowling success in the future. To that end, we place great hope in Ryan Lalisang and Putty Armein in order that they perform to their utmost and make Indonesia proud.
Bowling enthusiasts, the sporting community and the general public across Jakarta will also work towards making the World Ranking Masters Bowling Championship a success in Indonesia by acting as friendly and hospitable hosts.
Wishing all bowlers good luck and fair play, so that the World Ranking Masters Bowling Championship 2008 runs smoothly and strengthens the ties of friendship between nations in the name of sport.
